I haven’t rode much on my bike the last week, but I have been focusing more on dieting. I’ve lost 12.5 pounds since Monday (February 12th) and I’ve only rode the bike for a total of 3 hours the last week. I’m ready to get back on and start riding 1-2 hours every night. Stephanie (the brain child of the Ride of Love) just emailed out the training schedule which starts March 19th. I’m glad I have a head start becuase I think she is out of her mind! Stephanie, I’m kidding of course! 🙂

Taylor started baseball practice today. I think he is going to have a really good year and have fun since he knows so many of the children he is playing with this year. I don’t know what to say about logan. I just pray we make it through the season with no injuries to him or any other children.

 Later!

50 minutes tonight on the trainer. I’m ready to get the bike back on the real rode and take a long ride. Hopefully I can start riding with other people to get a feel for group riding. Taylor is going through a rough period right now. He has been running fevers since Late Thursday night. If it were any other child, one would think the flu or cold, but since we have been through all we have, we instantly go to recurrence. We start questioning his every pain, every cough and wonder in the back of our minds if his cancer has returned. Not a fun way to live, but it is the hand we have been dealt. I pray that this is just a cold and will go away soon. I pray.

I rode 1 hour straight last night and the night before last, I rode 30 minutes, took a 5 minute break and rode another 30 minutes. I think I’m going to ride another straight hour tonight. Later

45 minutes tonight on the trainer. I’m doing better but I’m not eating healthy. I’ve lost 6 pounds since I started but I also haven’t been eating too healthy. I’m starting a diet today along with the bike riding, I hope to get into better shape phyiscally. I’m thinking about joining a gym to lift weights as well. We shall see. Taylor has improved dramatically over the last few weeks. He is doing so much better. He amazes me everyday. I love watching him grow.

When is the weather going to start getting better? I long for spring time so that we can start enjoying the outdoors again. We are planning to go to Wind Creek State Park this year with the kids and also go to Lake Guntersville. There is a place up there my grandfather would take us. I would like for the boys to experience something like that. I’m looking forward to taking my bike up there and riding in those mountains. The scenary is breathtaking, much like my bedroom walls! I can’t wait!

 Until next time…

I rode 45 minutes this morning and another 45 minutes on the trainer this afternoon. My legs seem to be getting stronger and stronger. I can’t wait for the weather to warm back up. I’m thinking of running in the Mercedes Half Marathon in a few weeks. It raises money for Children’s Hospital, so why not. I figure I can hash out 13 miles in under 4 hours. Well, maybe. I guess we will see! 🙂

What lies ahead for each of us? What gets you there? What gives you the strength to make it over that hill and keep moving foward? I can tell you what my answer is… My faith in God.

Another ride on the trainer. 40 minutes tonight. The scenary was absoultley breath taking. 🙂
