Merry Christmas!!!
This morning started very early at 6:30am! Taylor woke up on his own, but we had to wake Logan up. They were so excited! Both boys got a bike. Taylor got a road bike like Jim’s. He also got padded spandex bike shorts like Jim’s. They are so tiny and so cute and not even tight on his little thighs! Both boys got Vulcan Nerf guns that shoot 3 bullets a second. Wow, is a mess!!! Logan got a Nintendo DS (that is killing Taylor). They got a riffle to share. It is very small, no clip, only one bullet. Now, that was not English to me, but that is what I was told when I got nervous over this gift. They got several new movies and PSP, DS, and wii games. They got the Rock Band game too. Okay, yes, that was really more for Jim and I and yes we love it! It is so much fun!
We went out to ride their bikes. It is odd that is is Christmas day and we are outside in short sleeves, but hey, at least it is a nice day to go out and play with all the new toys.
Soon it was time to head to Pop’s for lunch and more gift swapping. They got another nerf gun, some candy, some card games, and the grandaddy of all gifts, a 2 seater go kart!!! Wow! It is huge. Jim and I can both ride it together. It took some time and a few times of flipping the kill switch, but Taylor got it. Logan on the other hand may never drive it alone. He has one speed (full throttle) and no fear!
After several hours of playing we had to leave and get back home for Gam maw and Paw Paw and the rest of the family to come over. We ate and then opened gifts. They got tons of will games, a bucket of snacks and some clothes. Paw Paw did his own shopping and the boys have all kids of flying saucers, magic cars, bouncy things and a double stomp rocket. Gam maw and paw Paw are also taking us all on a cruise in March. Come on March, get here fast!!!
We went to see Marley and Me. It was very good. I was afraid Taylor may freak out when he died, but he did fine.
We pray you all had a very wonderful day. We certainly did! Praise God for this day.
Hey Kim,
I check on Taylor at least 2-3 times a week but never take time to sign in.
I love hearing all the stories you tell on those two boys. They do keep you hopping.
Sorry I didn’t get to the Camp SAM party. I was looking forward to seeing all my friends from camp and radiation, and CH’s. Maybe next year.
Hugs to all,
Nena
